From mama's hand-rolled, homemade meatballs to organic produce grown in the family garden, chef-owner Ricardo Scebba honors his Italian heritage and serves favorite family recipes that offer a true taste of Mediterranean life. The Tuscan-inspired 50-seat room designed by Georgie Award-winner, Tara Trumpetter makes the perfect place to savor Ricardo's time-honoured taste creations with family, friends and lovers. Situated in the Holiday Park Resort just 20km north of Kelowna, Ricardo's Mediterranean Kitchen is the Okanagan's best-kept secret. Like the restaurant, the cookbook is a family project of sorts. Family recipes are shared by Ricardo's mother while photographs were contributed by Ricardo's cousins Santino Matrundola & Tony Veltri. The book contains over 55 mouth-watering recipes that capture the essence of Italian home cooking. Home cooks, chefs and food aficionados can learn the secrets to Nonna's Poplette and Pasta Fagioli, simple flavourful dishes that can be made with ease and confidence thanks to Ricardo's easy-to-follow recipes.
