"This was a marvellous project and the book is an extremely elegant publication. As Julia Ketler (age 14) says, "Every single medallion has something to say". All in all, I found looking at the works that came out of the project quite a moving experience." -- Philip Attwood, Curator, The British Museum
The extraordinary Spirit of Kelowna medallion project brought a diverse cross section of the community together. They merged in a spirit of learning and sharing to create an impression of what was in their hearts. Their vision of Kelowna's community spirit is powerfully expressed through the diversity and uniqueness of the medallions that were created under the supervision of artists Geert and Elly Maas.
The medallions have been brought together in the pages of a unique and beautiful full-colour book - the perfect legacy of a great community event.
Copies of the book are now available for purchase.
They make ideal gifts for family and friends, and business colleagues and customers.
